So, you get it. You realize that it's important, even imperative, that you start thinking about the impact you have on our environment. You've been trying to reduce your carbon footprint by recycling cans, newspapers, and plastic. Maybe you're even considering trading in that SUV for a more gas efficient car or starting that backyard composting project? But, have you thought about your pets impact on the environment? That's right--your dog, cat, bird, horse, gerbil, ferret, and other pets, are also leaving their carbon paw-prints, claw-prints, hoof prints on the Earth. The difference here is that they can't make the choice to do something about it. Yes, it's up to you to do what you can to help reduce your pets carbon paw-prints. And that's what this series of articles is all about. We want to help by providing you with tips on keeping your pets green. We know change is difficult. You and Fido or Kitty may not be able to follow through with some of the green pet tips posted here. That's OK, every little bit helps.
